Mississauga Humane Society is proud to be an associate member of the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (Humane Canada): the national federation of SPCAs and humane societies.

As part of this federation, we contribute to advancing animal welfare while benefiting from valuable resources, including education and updates on key issues. This collaboration enables us to drive meaningful change to protect animals in Mississauga and across Canada.

As an associate member we are able to give input on issues that are before lawmakers. Helping guide animal welfare policy in Canada.

By partnering with this organisation, registering with the City of Mississauga, and being a registered charity, MHS is able to showcase our dedication to animals and financial transparency, and gain credibility as a rescue organisation.

We believe every animal is an individual with intrinsic value, deserving of dignity, respect, and moral consideration. Through Humane Canada, we join a united network of like-minded organizations, forming a strong national voice to lead conversations and foster positive change for animals.
