Support Our Rescue Efforts

Mississauga Humane Society rescues animals from all over Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. Your donations help us with the costs of trapping, transportation and proper medical care.

Trapping feral cat colonies requires humane traps, bait (like wet food or tuna), gloves, blankets or covers for traps, carriers for transport, and supplies for post-trap care, such as food, water, and medical essentials.
Costs can include airfare or ground transport fees, travel crates, health certificates, vaccinations and customs clearance.
We're dedicated to excellent medical care for our rescues and fosters. Medical costs include routine vet examinations, vaccinations, spay or neutering and flea treatments. While some animals come with complex needs requiring x-rays, surgery, dental care or ongoing treatment for conditions like diabetes.

Support Our Fosters

We operate through a network of foster homes and we support our volunteer foster families with food and supplies to ensure our animals are well cared for.

We supply the food for our foster animals. Some of our animals are on special diets and you donation can help us afford vet-recommended foods.
Kitty litter, carriers, blankets and more, Your donations help us ensure that the animals in our care have their needs met.
We cover the cost of routine examinations and complex care as well as transportation to our veterinary partners.
