Introducing the redesigned logo for Mississauga Humane Society. This bold new look that represents our renewed vision and continued commitment to animal welfare.
Mississauga Humane Society was founded in 1999, and in 2019, we went through a transition with the appointment of a new board of directors. Our mission remains the same: to save as many animals as possible. But with a new direction, we’re also focusing on better supporting our fosters and connecting with the community that makes our work possible.
This transition is reflected in our refreshed logo for Mississauga Humane Society. A bold new look that represents our renewed vision and continued commitment to animal welfare.
The playful silhouettes of a collared dog and cat speak to our role as advocates for animals in need. Their presence in the logo is a tribute to the thousands of pets we’ve helped rescue, rehabilitate, foster, and rehome … and the many more we aim to support!
At the center is a house icon, which carries special meaning for us. It stands for the foster homes that provide temporary shelter, the forever homes we work hard to find for every animal, and our ultimate goal of securing a physical base of operations for MHS. A place where education, outreach, and rescue efforts can thrive under one roof.
This logo marks more than just a visual update — it symbolizes where we’re headed as an organization. Here are a few of the exciting initiatives we’re working on:
Membership
Becoming a Mississauga Humane Society member means having a voice in shaping our future. Members vote on key decisions that drive change in our organization, including electing our Board of Directors. It’s a meaningful way to help guide our mission. Finding a Home
We are actively working toward securing a physical base of operations. Having a dedicated location would make a significant impact on our ability to educate, rescue, and find homes for animals. You can follow our progress and learn how to help on our new progress tracker page.
Adoption Stories

Many people come to our website because they’re ready to adopt, but we also have a lot of long-term-care animals that would benefit from your support. See the animals in our care, read their stories and get an understanding of the work we do as a rescue and how every dollar makes a difference in the lives of animals.
