John & Stardust’s Adoption Story

We adopted John, a very beautiful grey tabby- from MHS. We got him as a friend for Stardust (aka Hope) one of the kittens from Faith and Wyatt's litter (MHS trapped the entire family... momma- dad and 4 kittens). John, who we renamed PJ, was really shy and scared. We ended up moving to BC and they both came with us, but he always stayed shy and a bit introverted, really only socializing with Stardust and only ever sitting with us at a distance, he never wanted to be pet. This fall, after we came back from a short holiday, PJ completely came out of his shell, and he is now the most snuggly, social cat! He even sits with guests when they visit! I thought you would like to hear this happy success story, maybe even to share with folks who are hesitating to adopt a shy cat! With time and patience- love conquers all!
